Young Sun Han (b. 1982) is a Brooklyn based visual artist. Han investigates issues of the body, and Korean and queer culture through photography, performance and installation. His exhibitions include NYsoundCircuit 5.2, The Dimenna Center NY (2014); Peripheral Fantom Index, Sanderson Contemporary Art, Auckland, New Zealand (2013); and Last Words, Phase, 4A Centre of Contemporary Art, Sydney, Australia (2010). Han’s residencies and awards include the 30 Under 30 Award, Windy City Times, Chicago (2012); Runner-up, Work of Art: The Next Great Artist, Season 2, Bravo, New York (2011); and One Day Sculpture curatorial bursary, Litmus & Creative New Zealand, New Zealand (2009). Han earned a B.F.A. from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and was a visiting student at Goldsmiths College, University of London, and Kunsthochschule fuer Medien, Cologne, Germany.
