“Contemporary stylings of classic ballet vocabulary… dynamic… pulsing… Ms. Young’s choreography showed a fine sense of exploring space and a knack for visual polyphony. And she gets extra roses and champagne for choosing Bartok.” – Oberon’s Grove, November 15 2014, Philip Gardner
XAOC Contemporary Ballet is a New York-based neoclassical ballet company founded by choreographer Eryn Renee Young in 2010. XAOC draws on the talents and knowledge of all its participants, basing itself in classical ballet and pointework but branching out to modern and contemporary dance, figure skating, swing, and jazz styles to craft a new fusion of balletic forms, propelled by the generosity, inventiveness, and spirit of the women who create it. Venues where XAOC Contemporary Ballet has performed include The Ailey Citigroup Theater, Young Choreographer’s Festival at Symphony Space, Boston Contemporary Dance Festival, and New York University.
