Weng San Sit is a visual artist from Singapore who is currently residing in Harlem, New York. She is a graduate from the General Studies Program at the International Center of Photography. Prior to that, she earned a degree in Economics and has worked in a maintenance chemical company.

Using primarily photography as her medium, Weng San’s work explores questions that do not provide necessarily neat answers. As she attempts to find answers through the work, she seeks to provide clarity to viewers through her artistic probing and exploration. She is engaged in themes such as cultural identity, representation, and body politics.

Weng San has been selected for a SPARC residency at City Hall Senior Center, where she will conduct photography workshops that will focus on using the camera as an expressive medium. There will be a collaborative installation at the end of the program that will include images made by the participants.
