Trokon Nagbe (b. 1977) is a Brooklyn-based multidisciplinary artist who was born in Liberia, West Africa. His practice is focused on the eternal idea that a human life holds a soul and that soul is alien to human history. His group exhibitions include Objects of a Revolution, Gallery Dominique Fiat, Paris, France (2012); Current Circuit, Espace Lhomond, Paris, France (2011); and Flow, Studio Museum of Harlem, New York, NY (2009). He was an artist-in-residence at BRIC Arts, Brooklyn, NY (2015); Triangle Artists’ Workshop, Salem, NY (2015); and Triangle Arts Association, Brooklyn, NY (2014). He received a B.F.A. in Painting from Savannah College of Art and Design (2001) and an M.F.A. in Sound/Film from Savannah College of Art and Design (2003).
