Thomas Allen Harris is a New York-based artist born in Bronx, NY. He is dedicated to producing unique audio-visual experiences that illuminate the Human Condition and the search for identity, family, and spirituality. Harris’ solo exhibitions include ALCHEMY, Corcoran Gallery of Art, DC (1998); and ALCHEMY, New Langton Arts, CA (1998). His group exhibitions include Exchange and Evolution, Long Beach Museum of Art, CA (2011); Fever Variations, II Gwangju Biennale, South Korea (2006); New Visions: Video 1999, Long Beach Museum of Art, Long Beach, CA (1999); ‘LA Freewaves’ 5th Celebration of Independent Video, Geffen Contemporary, LA (1996); and Hotter Than July, Margo Leavin Gallery, CA (1996).

Harris’ awards include Tribeca All Access Nelson Mandela Award (2010); New York Foundation for the Arts – Artist Fellowship Award (2007); United State Artist Media Artist Media Artist Fellowship (2006); Gwangju Biennale (2006); Imagination Revolution Award (2006); and “Truer Than Fiction” Independent Spirit Award Nomination (2006). He received his B.A. from Harvard College and was in the Whitney Museum Independent Study Program.
