Stuart Hawkins is an artist working in painting, photography, sculpture and video. Her solo exhibitions include Everyone Knows What It Looks Like, Zach Feuer Gallery, NY (2014); Broken Welcome, Zach Feuer Gallery, NY (2011); and Deluxe, Zach Feuer Gallery, NY (2008). Her group exhibitions include The New York Photo Festival, Powerhouse Arena, Brooklyn, NY (2012); The Influentials, Visual Arts Gallery, School of Visual Arts, NY (2011); Snapshots of Tourism, Helsinki International Artist Programme, Gallery Augusta, Helsinki, (2010); and All-Inclusive A Tourist World, Schirn Kunsthalle, Frankfurt, Germany (2008).

Hawkins’s residencies and awards include LMCC’s Workspace 2012–2013 program; Foundation for Contemporary Arts Grant (2004); Aaron Siskind Individual Photographer’s Fellowship Grant (2000); and Rema Hort Mann Art Grant (1999). Publications include Blind Spot (2012); Globale Sehnsüchte (2012); and Art in America (2011). Hawkins received a B.S. from University of Vermont and a M.F.A. from School of Visual Arts.

Hawkins is a Workspace 2014–2015 On-Site Assistant, a position in which an artist receives studio space in exchange for working with LMCC on-site.
