Stephanie Land (b.1978) is a Brooklyn-based artist born in Sheboygan, WI. Her practice is built upon a traditional photography background and developed through an acquired printmaking process. It is an ongoing relationship between photography, sculpture, and artist books; the root always being in photography.
Her solo shows include By Way Of, Sweet Lorraine Gallery, Brooklyn, NY (2015). Her group shows include Casting Shadows Revealing Light (2015); The NY Art Book Fair, MoMA PS1, Queens, NY (2015); and ENDLESS, R.Jampol Project(s), New York, NY (2015). Her awards include Shortlisted for the Conran Awards, London (2013); Illinois Chapter of the National Museum of Women in the Arts Grant Winner, IL (2004); and Illinois Arts Council Grant, IL (2004). She received her B.A. in Photography at Columbia College Chicago and her M.F.A. in Printmaking at the Royal College of Art, London.
