Stable Cable Lab Co., founded in 2011, is a New York-based theatre company, which strives to create an environment for new work and theater artists to flourish through developmental readings and workshops, ensemble laboratories and productions. They are dedicated to producing new plays that are intrinsically theatrical, ensemble-driven and bold. Upcoming projects include the world premiere of Max Baker’s Pie Day; or, Because I Said So and the workshop of Inapprapropriate Sexual Relations. Their productions include Nibbler; Accidents Waiting to Happen; I Love You More Than All the Stars in the Sky (2013); The Eden Project, Theater for the New City and The Bridge Theater; and The Coming World, Chashama Arts Space, Industry City, Brooklyn. Developmental and staged readings include Lauren Yee’s “Hookman” (as part of Rattlestick’s Good Plays Fest), and eight new plays by a diverse group of playwrights selected to participate in a 5-month playwriting lab, which culminated in the “groundUP Reading Series” hosted by Stable Cable and the Dramatic Question Theatre. Their residencies include The Field Artist Residency program.
