Spica Wobbe (b.1963) is a New-York based puppetry artist and educator who grew up in Taipei, Taiwan. Her work focuses on using puppetry to create cross-cultural and innovative creations.

Her puppetry performances have been seen in Taiwan, Hong Kong, Korea, Japan, Holland, Germany, Israel, Austria and the U.S. Her solo exhibitions include Shadow, Light… Hide & Seek, Wen Shan Theater, Taipei, Taiwan (2015). Her group exhibitions include Heaven of Puppets, Taipei Puppet Museum, Taipei, Taiwan (2016). Her publications include Heaven of Puppets, Healthy Growth Foundation, Taipei, Taiwan (2001).

Spica founded Double Image Theater Lab in 2011 to create cross-cultural productions featuring shadow puppetry. A Chance Shadow, developed at residencies at Jim Henson Foundation Puppetry at the Carriage House (2012) and Sandglass Theater New Vision Series (2014), received the Jim Henson Foundation Seed Grant (2012) and Project Grant (2013). She is also the recipient of the Exemplary Teaching Artist Award, New York University, New York (2014). She received a M.A. in Educational Theater from New York University.
