Saul Melman is a Brooklyn-based artist who creates immersive environments, performances, and sculptures that integrate tactile and conceptual manifestations of the body. His group shows include Found Outside, Aldrich Museum of Contemporary Art, CT (2012); Emerging Artist Fellowship, Socrates Sculpture Park, NY (2011); and Greater New York Exhibition, MoMAPS1, NY (2010).
Melman’s awards and residencies include Workspace Program, Dieu Donné, NY (2013); BoxoHouse Residency, Joshua Tree, CA (2012); Emerging Artist Fellowship, Socrates Sculpture Park, NY (2011); Genesis Project Residency, Culture Push, PA (2008); and Burning Man Project, Artist Grant, CA (2003, 2004). He received his B.A. from Vassar College and M.F.A. from Milton Avery School of the Arts-Bard College.
