Sara Greenberger Rafferty is a New York-based artist born in Evanston, IL. Rafferty is a multi-media artist who lives in New York with her husband and their three cats in Brooklyn. Rafferty’s solo exhibitions include Remote, Rachel Uffner Gallery, New York (2011); Suburban Studio, The Suburban, Chicago, IL (2011); and In Residence, Eli Marsh Gallery, Amherst College, Amherst, MA (2010). Group exhibitions include Work, Klaus von Nichtssagend Gallery, New York, NY (2013); Funny., curated by Heidi Zuckerman Jacobson, FLAG Art Foundation, New York, NY (2012); and The Anxiety of Photography, Aspen Art Museum, Aspen, CO (2011). Rafferty was awarded the Marion and Jasper Whiting Fellowship, Massachusetts (2013); de la Cruz Collection Contemporary Art Space Residency, Miami (2011); and the Visiting Artist in Residence from Amherst College (2010). Publications include New York Times (2013), ArtNews (2011), and Art in America (2011). Rafferty received her M.F.A. from School of the Arts, Columbia University and a B.F.A. from Rhode Island School of Design.
