Rashaun Mitchell + Silas Riener are Brooklyn-based artists who create dance in response to complex and active spatial environments, often merging elements of fantasy, absurdity, and quite contemplation into challenging, multifaceted performance.

Their works have been performed at EMPAC, MoMA Ps1, Danspace, ICA Boston, and The LAB. Their residencies and awards include City Center Choreographic Fellowship, Artists in Residence at The Watermill Center, Artists in Residence at The Newhouse Center for the Humanities at Wellesley College, John Simon Guggenheim Memorial Fellowship, Foundation for Contemporary Art Grant to Artists. Riener holds a B.A. from Princeton University and an M.F.A. from New York University. Mitchell holds a B.A. from Sarah Lawrence.
