Phantom Limb Company is a New York-based multi-disciplinary visual theater company that creates works using puppetry, dance, installation, video and original music. Co-artistic directors Jessica Grindstaff and Erik Sanko lead the company.

Their presented works include Memory Rings, OZ Arts Nashville, BAM, UCLA, CAP (2011-Present); Peer Gynt (2013/14) Republique Theatre, Copenhagen, Denmark; 69˚S. (2007-toured through 2012) Brooklyn Academy of Music (2011); Lemony Snicket’s The Composer Is Dead, B.R.T., Berkeley, CA (2010); and The Fortune Teller, HERE Theater, New York, NY (2010, 2006), Dartmouth University, Hanover, New Hampshire (2009), UCLA Live Festival, Royce Hall, Los Angeles, California (2007). They have received grants from Jim Henson Foundation, New York, NY (2015) and New Music USA (2014).

Their residencies and awards include the Robert Rauschenberg Residency, Captiva, Florida (2013); Research Residency, Harvard University Center for the Environment, Boston, MA (2012); and Research Residency, National Science Foundation Antarctic Artist and Writer’s Grant, Antarctica (2010); MAP Fund (2010) and the Jerome Foundation (2009).
