“Six fine actors portrayed over forty characters…a tapestry of interwoven lives, written with an expert ear and an emotional acumen that few modern playwrights possess” – Fire Island Sun, July 2012, Joel Benjamin
Patrick Thomas McCarthy has developed a body of work that tells stories about LGBTQ characters in a world including both antagonists as well as people who are willing to open their minds & hearts to change. Most of the characters in McCarthy’s work are not gay, but the flavor of all the work is. As a gay teacher, actor, director, and playwright, McCarthy hopes to expand the boundaries of how a play that seems gay is perceived and defined.
