The mission of the New York Symphonic Arts Ensemble (NYSAE) is twofold: to provide a performance opportunity for amateur musicians while presenting low-cost, high-quality programming for their local audience so that everyone, even those of limited means, can attend classical music concerts. Founded in 1988, NYSAE performs five concerts each season on the Upper East Side and has historically programmed a wide range of repertoire, including lesser-known and contemporary compositions. Featured soloists have included members of the New York Philharmonic and the Met Opera Orchestra, as well as talented students from local conservatories.
