Mónika Sziládi is a New York-based artist born in Budapest, Hungary. Her solo exhibitions include Wide Receivers & Tight Ends, Smack Mellon Gallery, NY (2014); Market Forces, Galerie Erna Hecey, Brussels, Belgium (2009); and Lost and Found, Staatliche Kunsthalle, Baden-Baden, Germany (2007). Her group exhibitions include in, side – throughout, Bosi Contemporary, NY (2014) and 31 Women in Art Photography, Humble Arts Foundation, Hasted Kraeutler, NY (2012).
Sziládi’s awards and honors include the Smack Mellon Artist Studio Program and Fellowship, NY (2013); Humble Arts Foundation new Photography Grant (2012); and the Daylight/ CDS Photo Awards, Work-in-Progress Prize (2010). She holds a maitrîse from the Université Paris IV/Sorbonne and a M.F.A. from Yale University.
