Michou Szabo is a Brooklyn-based artist who creates dance works existing in atmospheric environments and live cinematic structures.  His works present the unadorned physical language of intimacy, the power of shared and individual experiences, vulnerability and human fragility which all direct toward a place where the heart and mind meet—a synthesis of live performance and honored experience. Szabo’s performances include The Wild Heart, Gavin Brown’s Enterprise, NY (2012); Alone, OH, CPR Center for Performance Research, NY (2010); and Drain, Merce Cunningham Studio, NY (2006).

Szabo received his B.F.A. in Film from New York University and M.F.A. in Dance from State University of New York College at Brockport. He is also studying toward a B.M. in Piano Performance at Cleveland Institute of Music.
