Mary Butler (b. 1936) is a New York-based fiber artist mostly making commission works and teaching seniors and kids her Quilting From Scratch classes that guarantee success in the art of quilting. Her works have been presented in group shows at the Empire Quilters Guild, New York, NY (2015, 2012); Mancuso, Philadelphia, PA (2013); and Manhattan Borough President’s Gallery, New York, NY (2015). She was an artist-in-residence in Peters Valley, Layton, NJ (2008). She also participated in SPARC (Seniors Partnering with Artists Citywide), an artist residency made possible by Lower Manhattan Cultural Council, the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs, and the Department for the Aging (2015).
