Sprout, founded in 1979, is a New York-based organization dedicated to opening exciting new worlds to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. They seek to help people grow through safe, challenging, creative and fun experiences that enhance inclusion, self-confidence and socialization. Their programs include supervised vacation opportunities around the United States and abroad; a Day and Evening Program of activities around New York City; and creative film programs including our annual Sprout Film Festival, showcasing the best in film relating to the field of intellectual and developmental disabilities.
