Lincoln Michel and John Dermot Woods is a Brooklyn-based text and art collaboration between two writers and artists creating literary comics. Their comic strip Animals in Midlife Crisis was serialized at The Rumpus.. Their comics have also appeared in places like The Fairytale Review, The Indiana Review, and Carousel Magazine. Woods’s collection of comics, Activities, was recently published by Publishing Genius Press.

Their awards and residencies include Millay Colony Residency, NY (2013); Virginia Center for the Creative Arts, VA (2008); Graham Fellowship, Columbia University; and Elliott Coleman Fellowship, Johns Hopkins University. Woods received his B.A. from Georgetown University, M.A. from John Hopkins University, and Ph.D. from University of Georgia. Michel received his B.A. from George Washington University and M.F.A. from Columbia University.
