Katie Rose McLaughlin is a New York-based ballet dancer turned performer and choreographer whose work blurs the line between dance and theatre. McLaughlin describes herself as a generative artist, capable of elevating performance through the collaborative process of building a gestural body-based system of communication that supports and enlightens.
McLaughlin’s choreography has been presented by Movement Research at Judson Church, Dixon Place, and International Festival of Art & Ideas. She has also created choreography for various theatrical productions including Victor Frange Presents Gas! (dir. Sarah Krohn); Dukus (dir. Joshua William Gelb); and Lady Han (dir. Katherine Brook).
