All the pieces had much complex movement and bore witness to a strong intellect at work, everything was executed flawlessly, Ms. Posin is as sharp as ever in making her social insights clear.” – Theater Scene, Nov. 20, 2014, Roberta Pikser

The Kathryn Posin Dance Company (KPDC) was founded in 1972 with the mission of the advancement of the public awareness and knowledge of the art of dance throughout New York City, the United States and the rest of the world. KPDC brings together dancers, composers, designers, marketers and producers to explore a shared area of interest. From 1972–1991, KPDC presented annual seasons in New York and national tours as a seven-member modern dance company. Since 1992 KPDC has worked on a project basis, traveling to Bulgaria, Crete, and Turkey. In October 2014, KPDC returned to the 92Y – where Posin had made her choreographic debut in 1968 – to premiere six new works.
