Kate Gilmore is a New York-based visual artist. Her work has been shown nationally and internationally at such institutions as MoCA Cleveland, Whitney Museum of American Art, the Brooklyn Museum, PS1/MoMA, Parasol Unit, London; and Istanbul Museum of Art. Gilmore’s work is currently in collections at the Museum of Modern Art, the Brooklyn Museum, Whitney Museum of American Art, and Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. Her awards and residencies include the Rome Prize, American Academy in Rome; the Louis Comfort Tiffany Biennial Award; and Award for Artistic Excellence, Lower Manhattan Cultural Council. She received her M.F.A. from School of Visual Arts and her B.A. from Bates College.
