Solo shows include the Contemporary Arts Center of Virginia (2010) and the Arlington Arts Center (2009). She is interested in conceptions of environment, architecture, and objects; and finding connections among the hidden and the exposed, the natural, the cultivated, the abstracted, the actual, and the artificial.
Figg’s Swing Space project is Fear of Gravity (working title), a series of metaphorical landscapes layering imaginary worlds upon the real. Other work at Swing Space includes the development of Light Infusion, a performance installation using alternative power generation of light and sound as a means for expression.
