Jeff Kurosaki and Tara Pelletier are a New York-based collaborative duo. Kurosaki and Pelletier create multi-layered narrative projects using sculpture, video, music, and performance. Solo exhibitions include Tropiclipse, Vox Populi, Philadelphia, PA (2013); Moon Moves (So Slowly), Space Gallery, Portland, ME (2013); and First Light Last Light, R/D Gallery, Honolulu, HI (2013). Group exhibitions include Through This to That, Present Company, Brooklyn, NY (2013); Dumbo Arts Festival, Brooklyn, NY (2012); and Model, Art in Odd Places, New York, NY (2012).
Kurosaki and Pelletier’s residencies include Wassaic Project (2013), Sculpture Space (2012), and Painting Space 122 (2012). Publications include Here, Now vs There, Then, Catalogue, For-Site Foundation (2013), Portland Press Herald (2013), and Honolulu Weekly (2013). Kurosaki received his B.F.A and B.A. from University of Hawaii and Pelletier received her B.F.A. from Maryland Institute College of Art. Kurosaki and Pelletier also received an M.F.A. from Cranbrook Academy of Art.
