Jamie Diamond (b.1983) is a New York-based photographer. Diamond’s work investigates the dialogue surrounding representation and the medium’s relationship to truth. She is interested in the role of fantasy in contemporary life and the camera’s part in perpetuating these myths. Solo exhibitions include I Promise to be a Good Mother, AJL Art, Berlin, Germany (2012); Portrait Histories, Ramis Barquet, New York, NY (2010); and Seemingly Familiar, Moeller Snow, New York, NY (2008).
Diamond’s awards and residencies include AIM Program, Bronx Museum, New York, NY (2014); NYFA Award, New York, NY (2013); Swing Space, LMCC, New York, NY (2013); Workspace, LMCC, New York, NY (2008); and The Toby Devan Lewis Fellowship Award, University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia PA (2009). Diamond received her B.A. from the University of Wisconsin and her M.F.A. from the University of Pennsylvania.
