Hugh Hayden was born and raised in Dallas. He is an artist and architect whose current projects explore the re-contextualization of hair via the anthropomorphic application of vernacular hairstyling methods onto iconic objects and forms to challenge ideas of cultural identity. Hayden’s artwork has been exhibited both locally and internationally including commissions from Lacoste and Cabinet Magazine. Hayden won the prestigious Skidmore, Owings & Merrill Travel Fellowship to study food-related art, design, and architecture around the world. He received a B.ARCH. from Cornell University in 2007.
