Harlem Presents, Inc. is a non-profit organization, established in 2012, whose mission is to present free and low cost cultural entertainment for the residents of the village of Harlem and beyond. Harlem Presents programs include HarlemWeen and The Harlem Hoedown. HarlemWeen is an all-ages party that takes place at the plaza of the Adam Clayton Powell, Jr. (Harlem) State Office Building. The event includes face-painting, pumpkin carving, a costume contest, Michael Jackson “Thriller” dance lessons, a video presentation of Michael Jackson’s epic video “Thriller,” a dance party, and a movie screening. Harlem Hoedown is a free community square dance on the plaza of the Adam Clayton Powell, Jr. (Harlem) State Office Building.
