Hannah Walsh is a Brooklyn-based photographer, who was born in Indiana. Her work focuses on naturalness, embodiment and intention in two parallel ways – using photography as a point of entry and alternately through a slow, intuitive making process privately in the studio. Her solo exhibitions include Periphery, Urban Arts Space, Columbus OH (2014) and Here Go, Vox Populi Gallery, Philadelphia, PA (2013). Her groups exhibitions include Thunder Perfect Mind, Land of Tomorrow, Louisville, KY (2013); Our Cult’s Classic, The Boiler, Pierogi Gallery, Brooklyn, NY (2012); and Good People, Bad Behavior, G Fine Arts, Washington, D.C. (2009). Her fellowships and awards include Fergus Family Post-MFA Fellow, Ohio State University, Columbus, OH (2014) and the Trawick Young Artist Prize, Bethesda, MD (2012). Walsh received a B.A. and a B.F.A. from Indiana University, and an M.F.A. from Virginia Commonwealth University.
