Gregory Gentert (b. 1983) is a Brooklyn-based artist, who was born in Doylestown, PA. His work focuses on creating photographs that profoundly investigates the distance between reality and the artist’s own perception of it. His group exhibitions include Alberto De Michele, Gregory Gentert, Adam Gordon, Andrew Kreps Gallery, New York, NY (2015); Darren Bader: Photographs I Like, Andrew Kreps Gallery, New York, NY (2014); Columbia MFA Thesis Exhibition, Fisher Landau Center, Long Island City, NY (2014); and Networking Tips for Shy People, Irving Street, Brooklyn, NY ( 2014). Gentert received the Andrew Fisher Fellowship from Columbia University, New York, NY (2013). He received a B.F.A. from Rochester Institute of Technology and an M.F.A. from Columbia University.
