Farideh Sakhaeifar (b. 1985) is a New York-based artist born in Tehran, Iran. Her solo exhibitions include Tehran a Loud, 2011, Olive Tjaden Gallery, Ithaca, NY (2011); Nazri, Olive Tjaden Gallery, Ithaca, NY (2010); and Café Aks, Tehran, Iran (2005). Her group exhibitions include Meditations in an Emergency, Dumbo Art Center, NYC (2011); Café Unmooring, John Hartell Gallery, Ithaca, NY (2010); Is this make sense, Olive Tjaden Gallery, Ithaca, NY (2010); New Folder 1, Silk Road Gallery, Tehran, Iran (2010); and Cornell M.F.A. Show, Flux Factory, Long Island City, NY (2010).
Sakhaeifar was awarded a Tuition Fellowship by Cornell University (2009-2011), a graduate organizer of the Cornell Council for the Arts Exhibition (2011) and was selected for the 11th Iranian National Biennial of Photography (2008). Publications include talkmagazine.net (2012), Yasavoli (2012), Pirate Press (2012), Mahriz (2011), and the exhibition catalogue, Meditations in an Emergency (2011). She received her B.F.A. from Azad Art and Architecture University and her M.F.A. from Cornell University.
