Enrico D. Wey is a New York and Berlin-based artist born in Taiwan. Wey makes things of a performative nature, be it in person or on paper.
Previous works include this useless tool, this folded flower, Abrons Art Center, New York, NY (2015); to warring states, a useless tool, Danspace Project, New York, NY (2016); Stirred Fluids, Bodies Unshaken, Performance Research Journal, (2016); and Handspring Puppet Company/William Kentridge’s II Ritorno d’Ulisse, Lincoln Center (2016). Wey’s residencies include Fresh Tracks Residency, Dance Theater Workshop, New York, NY (2010). Wey holds a B.A. from Sarah Lawrence College and an M.A. from Hochschulübergreifendes Zentrum Tanz/ Universität der Kunst, Berlin, Germany.
