Donna Uchizono is a New York-based choreographer born in Southern California. Her work is characterized by layered fragility, bold gestures, and vivid imagery.
Uchizono has worked across a range of disciplines and has been presented in theaters, museums, galleries and non-traditional performance venues throughout the United States, Europe, South America, Asia, and Australia. Uchizono was a recipient of the United States Artists Doris Duke Fellowship (2016); Dance in Process Residency (2015); and Alpert Award (2005). Donna Uchizono received her M.F.A. in New Media and Performance from Long Island University.
