“David Greenspan’s solo coup ‘The Myopia’ is nothing short of revolutionary.” – Timeout, January 1, 2010, David Cote
David Greenspan is a New York-based playwright and actor. Although his work is primarily comedic, he is interested in a wide range of dramatic forms, and often uses a variety of forms within a single play. He minimizes the use of scenery and other technical elements in the interest of fostering greater ingenuity and theatrical resourcefulness. He wants to find new ways of telling stories on the stage and engage audiences in imaginative and thought-provoking ways. His plays include Jack, Contemporary Theater and Art, New York City (1986); Go Back to Where You Are, Playwrights Horizons, New York City (2011); and Jonas, New York City (2011). His awards include two performance Obies, Lortel and Fox fellowships, an Alpert Award and an Obie for Sustained Achievement.
