Dannielle Tegeder received a B.F.A. from the State University of New York at Purchase, and an M.F.A. from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Dannielle has participated in artist residencies including Yaddo, The Marie Walshe Sharpe Studio Program, and Smackmellon Studio Residency. Her work has been shown at The New Museum of Contemporary Art, NY; Xippas Gallery, Paris, France; The Brooklyn Museum, New York, NY; Bronx Museum, New York, NY; Neuberger Museum of Art, Purchase, NY; John Connelly Presents, New York, NY; Jette Rudolph Galerie, Berlin, Germany; Nina Menocal Gallery, Mexico City; Suzanne Vielmetter Projects, Los Angeles, CA among others. Reviews of her work have been published by The New York Times, Artforum, Art in America, and The Chicago Tribune. Her work has recently been included is in the Museum of Modern Art’s Drawing Collection.

Tegeder’s work explores systems in drawing, painting, artist books, sound, and animation. On Govorner”s Island she will continuing working on a long term drawing project, while also creating a new artist book with found text from all of the islands in New York City.
