Cheryl King is a New York-based playwright, director, and actor. Creator and producing director of Stage Left Studio, in NYC, she has directed over 35 plays and solo shows, including three nominated for Drama Desk awards. An arts educator with a wide background, she teaches writing, standup, mime, improvisation, and digital storytelling. She is the creator and artistic director for the Left Out Festival, the Women at Work Festival; curator for Sola Voce Estrogenius; writer for New York Theater Experience and author of a blog called pagetostageblog. Cheryl is also member of the Dramatist’s Guild, and a board member of League of Independent Theatre, New York. Her solo shows include Not A Nice Girl, Los Angeles, NYC, Chicago and Ft. Collins, Colorado; Grapefruit, Stage Left Studio.
