Catherine Galasso (b. 1983) is a New York-based dancer and choreographer from New York. Galasso creates cinematic and whimsical performances that are both historically focused and site-aware.

Her performances and installations include the Bessie nominated get dancing, Danspace Project, New York, NY (2015); The Floatones, La MaMa, New York, NY (2015); Bring On The Lumière, Joyce SoHo, New York, NY (2012), ODC Theater, San Francisco, CA (2014), and the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, San Francisco, CA (2013); and original works for Harvard University’s Carpenter Center, the Museum of Contemporary Art Santa Barbara, and the Internation Theater Festival in Pristina Kosovo.

Her residencies include The Watermill Center, Headlands Center for the Arts, Brooklyn Arts Exchange, and commissions from Danspace Project, ODC Theater and the San Francisco Foundation. She has received grants from the Jerome Foundation Travel and Study Grant Program (2013), Bossak/Heilbron Charitable Foundation (2013), and Margaret Jenkins CHIME Program (2012). Galasso received a B.A. in Film from Cornell University.
