Carl Marin (b. 1985) is a New York-based artist born in Philadelphia, PA. His solo exhibitions include Pit, any NYC Metro Card, ActivatAR, NY (2014) and Something Real, FLUXspace, Philadelphia, PA (2011). His group exhibitions include Skowhegan PERFORMS, Socrates Sculpture Park, NY (2014); I’M OPEN TO THE IDEA, The Nightclub, Miami, FL (2013); and Suzanne, Artisphere, Roslyn, VA (2012).
Marin is a recipient of the Professional Development Fellowship from the College Art Association, NY (2013) and The Aperture Award from The Print Center, Philadelphia, PA (2010). His previous residencies include The Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture, Skowhegan, ME (2012). Marin holds a B.F.A. from the Tyler School of Art and a M.F.A. in Sculpture & Extended media from the Virginia Commonwealth University.
