Borough of Manhattan Community College Tribeca Performing Arts Center (BMCC TPAC) is dedicated to enriching the cultural lives of the downtown Manhattan community and New York at large. BMCC TPAC presents the highest quality emerging and established performers in a variety of artistic disciplines on two state of the art stages. Founded in 1983, BMCC TPAC is downtown’s longest operating presenter. Signature programs include, Lost Jazz Shrines, a concert series saluting historic clubs that enriched the Jazz legacy of Manhattan; Tribeca Schooltime that entertains and educates with post-show workshops and study guides; Tribeca Family that offers diverse entertainment, from classic to original concerts, plays, and musicals; Jazz in Progress/Monk in Motion, a partnership between BMCC TPAC and the Annual Thelonious Monk International Jazz Competition; Tribeca Spotlight featuring headliner acts on our main stage and eclectic, emerging talent in our more intimate Theater Two; Writers in Performance, an opportunity for professionals and students to workshop together writing and performing original material; and Scenes Through the Cinema Lens, a film retrospective on performing arts in film.
