M is Black Enough is a New York-based collaborative fronted by Jeffrey Zeigler,
Roger Bonair-Agard, Andy Akiho, and Sean Dixon. M is Black Enough explores meaning and conversation through steelpan, cello and text / voice. It aims to be complex and aggressive, and involve all elements equally in the bold narrative the band undertakes – one about people, and justice and struggle and joy and celebration. The group has performed at Celebrate Brooklyn!, MassMoCA, and National Sawdust. Their awards include the Polar Music Prize, Stockholm, Sweden (2011) and the Avery Fisher Prize, New York, NY (2011).
