A native of South Georgia, Amy moved to New York City in 2009 to pursue her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photography and Imaging at NYU Tisch School of the Arts. After graduation, she moved to Chicago to obtain her Master of Fine Arts in Studio Art from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Unable to stay away from NYC, she returned after completing her degree in the summer of 2015. During her 6 years as a student, Amy has been a dedicated arts educator. The most recent teaching position was at her alma mater, NYU, where she was an Adjunct Instructor to a Freshman photo critical studies course. As a conceptual artist, Amy has an interdisciplinary practice. Thematically, she examines American social, cultural, and political symbols and traditions and questions their permanence. Her most recent work was a performance held in Havana, Cuba, in which she prepared Thanksgiving dinner for her friends and their families. She is excited to join the LMCC family and be a part of the community it fosters through art.

Amy supports the President, Board of Directors, and Vice President in all areas of responsibility.
