Amanda Long (b.1978) is a Queens-based artist born in Fayetteville, NC. She creates interactive video sculptures that collaborate with and reflect the viewers’ social experience.

Her exhibitions include Wishing Well, Dyckman Farmhouse Museum, New York, NY (2016); Silly Faces aka Strike a Pose, National Portrait Gallery, Smithsonian, Washington D.C. (2016); and Silly Faces, Pittsburgh International Airport, Pittsburgh, PA (2016).

Her awards and residencies include Historic House Trust Contemporary Art Partnerships Program Stipend, Historic House Trust of New York, New York, NY (2016); Emerging Artist Fellowship, Socrates Sculpture Park, New York, NY (2014); and Spark Grant, Sprout Foundation, Pittsburgh, PA (2011). She received her B.S. from Tulane University (cum laude), her B.F.A. from Virginia Commonwealth University (cum laude) and an M.F.A. in Art from Carnegie Mellon University.
