Alessandra Gomez is a performance curator and arts administrator committed to supporting the New York arts community. She received a dual degree in Performance and Art History, Theory and Criticism from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 2014. Since moving to New York, she has assisted with the development of exhibitions and live programming at various museums and cultural institutions. Prior to LMCC, she was the 2015-16 Curatorial Fellow at The Kitchen and Studio Manager for artist Pablo Helguera. She previously co-curated an evening of experimental performance entitled As If You Me at The Center for Performance Research as part of the New Voices series, sponsored by Women & Performance: a journal of feminist theory. She also co-curated an emerging video art festival in Asheville, North Carolina, which featured work by local and international artists.
Alessandra assists the Cultural Programs department with artists residencies and public programming.
