YACKEZ is a multimedia/arty rap collaboration between Larissa and Jon Velez-Jackson, a.k.a. Twitta and Papi Jon. This married hip-hop duo exists as both a celebration and critique of popular culture, politics, urban mentality and, most notably, itself. In Open Studios, audiences can experience a unique multidisciplinary work-in-progress that the duo is developing during their residency.

For a better understanding of their work, click on the video below to view an excerpt from their performance at Catch 50 at The Chocolate Factory Theater.
