Originally from Zurich, Switzerland, Yvonne Meier has lived and worked in New York City since 1979, where she regularly collaborates with Ishmael Houston-Jones and many others in the US and Europe. Her work spans anywhere from big spectacles to quiet solos. After a life-long commitment to improvisation she has developed her signature movement technique, known as “Scores,” beginning in 1993 and continues to teach and refine the practice today.
