Pavel Zuštiak, Artistic Director/Choreographer of Palissimo Company, will share an open rehearsal of his latest visual, dance and musical work-in-progress — Custodians of Beauty —in collaboration with composer Christian Frederickson.

Inspired by Pope Benedict XVI’s 2009 address to artists on the subject of art and beauty and the artist and political activist Susan Sontag’s essay An argument about beauty, Custodians of Beauty is an exploration of beauty as a criterion in a disenchanted contemporary world in a hybrid piece that merges performance, music and visual arts. This Open Studios event will be a first glimpse of this unique, installation / performance before its premiere at the American Dance Institute in November 2015.
