The Arts Center At Governors Island

Katie Rose McLaughlin is a dance and theater maker based in NYC, and co-artistic director of Designated Movement Company. Her work frames moving bodies in unexpected and surprising ways, integrating text and motion to engage with and challenge our means of experience performance and the world. Fusing the formal ballet training of her youth with grand theatricality and clowning, her work embraces radical inclusivity and promotes strong women.
