LMCC and the City of Paris, in collaboration with the Cultural Services Department at the French Embassy in New York, are proud to be partnering once again to provide one New York City artist with the opportunity to live and work at the Cité Internationale des Arts in Paris, France.

Who is eligble for the Paris Residency?

This program is open to emerging and mid-career American artists who are U.S. citizens and New York City residents. Artists can apply in the following fields: Visual Arts, Photography, Film/Video, Multimedia.

What does the Paris Residency program offer?

The City of Paris will provide each artist with live/work space and a monthly stipend of 1,296 Euros (approximately $1,866.24 USD)*; the resident must pay a rent of 330 Euros (approximately $475.20 USD)* per month. Studios measure 20 x40 sq. meters and include a kitchenette, bathroom, and linens. Access is available to printmaking, photographic, and ceramics facilities, as well as to exhibition spaces within the Cité Internationale des Arts; A weekly French language course is also offered at no cost. Please note that a security deposit of 330 Euros (approximately $475.20 USD)* will be required of each resident and returned after checkout of studio.
