Magi received an MA in English at CCNY/CUNY, studying poetry, fiction, non-fiction, and drawing. She has received awards from the Academy of American Poets and a Goodman Grant for fiction. Threads, a hybrid work of prose, poetry, and collage will be published this fall. New projects are about the body, race, and labor, as well as the problems of North American nature writing. Since 1997, she taught as an adjunct at the CCNY Center for Worker Education, an interdisciplinary BA program in downtown Tribeca.
