Born in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico and studied at the Instituo Tecnologico y de Estudios Superiores de Occidente (ITESO.) Solo shows at Universidad de las Americas, Puebla, Museo de las Artes of Universidad de Guadalajara, Museo de Arte Carrillo Gil and Exteresa Arte Contemporáneo, both in Mexico City, among others. He has participated in group exhibitions in Mexico, Cuba, Turkey, South Africa, Canada, France and United States. Awards include FONCA, Rockefeller Foundation, Arts International and artist’s residency at Yerba Buena Arts Center, San Francisco. He has led workshops about art and migration for the Mexican community in New York City and the metropolitan region of Puebla and Cholula, Mexico. He is the Director and founder of the organization Circulo de Arte y Cultura en Nueva York.
